Pokrant Family Reunion Schedule

Friday, July 11/03 Starting at 7:00 PM

Early bird get-together bonfire party at the Mark and Ingrid Pokrant residence in Winnipeg (see location map on last page). Bring your lawn chairs, bring you cooler and your favourite "refreshments", and bring your stories.

Saturday, July 12/03 in Rosenfeld and Altona, Manitoba

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM (In Rosenfeld)
Gather in Rosenfeld St. John's Lutheran Church
- Introductions
- Devotions and prayers
- Hymns
- History of the early Pokrant family
- Closing remarks and announcements
- (A free will offering will be taken and donated to the Rosenfeld congregation)

2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
- Optional visit of the Rosenfeld cemetery. (Those not wishing to go to cemetery may visit in Altona Pioneer Centre Hall)
  OR
- Optional visit to original family homestead of Albert Pokrant. (Those not wishing to tour homestead may visit in the Altona Pioneer Hall).

4:00 PM - 6:00 PM (In Altona Pioneer Centre Hall)
- Family group pictures in Altona Pioneer Centre Hall
- Visiting with families and old picture viewing

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
- Catered hot meal

8:00 PM - 9:00 PM
- Surprise "talent events" and time for "sputzeering"
- Contact Edwin Pokrant if you wish to present a story or specific ideas.

9:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Snacks and music/dancing
- visiting and picture viewing

NOTE:

- The Altona Pioneer Centre Hall is located on 10th Avenue across the road from the town park. Coming from Rosenfeld and entering Altona from the north, turn right onto 10th Avenue and continue west past the railway tracks. The hall is just past the trailer park.
- You are also encouraged to bring along as many pictures as you can both old and new, to share those special moments with others. Hazel Zahradnik has spent hundreds of hours gathering and compiling Pokrant family tree information including photographs ...
